Opa's Farm, 2022 greeting card

 

A cropped photo of a card that I made for my grandfather before he passed away. He saved up for this farm after moving here from Germany and raised my mom and her 7 siblings on this property. Seeing the light on during a cold winter felt like warmth and safety were always close by.

I later reproduced this image as a limited run of postcards which were purchased by several family members. I am still touched by their request to purchase their own copies of this illustration.

The farm is located in Zurich, Ontario in Huron County.
