Here For Blood: pizza logo

 

This is the logo that I designed for Hawaiian Eddie's, the fictional pizza chain that appears in the film Here For Blood (2022). I was influenced by tourist t-shirts from the 80s and 90s, the kind that my grandparents would bring back from their trips to Bermuda. We wanted to create a fictional food chain for the film, not unlike "Jack Rabbit Slim's" in Pulp Fiction.

To contrast the film's darker elements, I wanted the logo to feel carefree and light-hearted. I stylized the pineapple's spines into a rockin' green Mohawk. I'm especially happy with the palm trees reflected in his shades.

While not featured as prominently as the Mighty Gyms logo, this logo can be seen on the Pizza Guy's car in a few key scenes of the film. 

The Name: Hawaiian Eddie's was named after the son of one of our film's key contributors. We picked a pineapple to reference our Canadian production team, as Hawaiian Pizza was invented by a Canadian. 🇨🇦
